BMW Report
BMW Group Canada (BMW and MINI brands combined) reported retail sales of 3,507 units in June, a slight decrease of 1% from June 2009. On the year, BMW Group Canada reported sales of 15,052 units, representing a 12% increase over the same period last year.
BMW Brand reports new monthly record for June:
BMW set an all-time monthly sales record in June with retails of 3,006 new BMW’s, outperforming sales from June 2009 by 3 units. (0% change) Year-to-date BMW has reported sales of 12,964 units, an increase of 14% over the same period last year.
BMW Pre-owned achieves record retails in June.
BMW pre-owned reported 1,283 retails in June, an increase of 37% compared to June, 2009. Year-to-date BMW pre-owned retails were up 15% over the same period last year. BMW Certified Series accounted for 916 of the BMW pre-owned sales in June.
MINI Brand:
MINI reported 501 units sold in the month of June, a decrease of 5% from June 2009. Year-to-date, MINI has reported 2,088 retails, an increase of 5% over the same period last year.
MINI Pre-owned sets all-time monthly sales record.
MINI’s pre-owned set a new monthly sales record of 160 units, achieving an increase of 119%compared to June 2009. Of these 160 sales, 96 units were MINI NEXT pre-owned vehicles. Year-to-date MINI pre-owned sales increased 76% per cent over 2009.
BMW Motorrad
BMW Motorrad (Motorcycles) Canada reported 260 retails in June, an increase of 7% over the same period in 2009. BMW Motorrad year-to-date retails of 1,210 units represent an increase of 3% over last year.
The BMW Group achieved a global sales volume of approximately 1.29 million automobiles and over 87,000 motorcycles for the 2009 financial year.
The pre-tax profit for 2009 was euro 413 million, revenues totalled euro 50.68 billion. At 31 December 2009, the company employed a global workforce of approximately 96,000 associates.
