AMA Flat Track: Expert Rookie Program

Flat Track News

AMA Pro Racing today announced the introduction of the Saddlemen Expert Rookie of the Year program for the 2010 AMA Pro K&N Grand National Championship presented by Motorcycle-Superstore.com season.

The agreement includes a $5,000 bonus to the top-placing expert rookie, to be awarded at the AMA Pro Flat Track Awards Ceremony at the end of the season.

Saddlemen is a seat, bag and luggage specialist in the motorcycle market and a company comprised of enthusiastic riders.

Tom Seymour, Saddlemen’s founder, was a racer from the ’60s to the ’80s and is currently an AMA Life Member as well as an active trail and road rider. Saddlemen has been a long time sponsor and supporter of promoters, riders and teams at many of the AMA Pro K&N Grand National Championship events.

"Everyone in the pits knows my passion for AMA Pro Flat Track racing," said Seymour. "When we can, our company has always provided support to the sport of motorcycle racing and events. Providing a $5,000.00 bonus at the end of the season to the top expert rookie will be very rewarding."

Expert rookie contenders must register with AMA Pro Racing and run a Saddlemen patch on their racing gear and a Saddlemen sticker on their motorcycle to be eligible for the $5,000 bonus.

The next round of the 2010 AMA Pro K&N Grand National Championship presented by Motorcycle-Superstore.com will be this weekend, May 29 – 30, with a doubleheader at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, Illinois.

T.T. racing action can be seen on Saturday, May 29th and Sunday, May 30th will see riders race at the historic Springfield Mile.
