AMA Dragbike
Posting more contingency dollars than any aftermarket company in AMA dragracing history, Brock’s Performance is doubling the size of its 2010 program, proudly giving back to the sport at the heart of its decade-long success story.
A total of $80,420 is available for AMA Dragbike and MIROCK Superbike dragrace competitors using Brock’s Performance exhaust systems and BST carbon-fiber wheels. The record-shattering contingency program is highlighted by a $66,020 AMA Dragbike program with $300-per-class win bonuses for Pro Mod and Pro Street racers and an average of $8253 per event for all classes.
In 2010, Brock’s Performance and BST are posting more money per class and a larger overall amount per race–and throughout the entire eight-race national championship–than any other AMA Dragbike contingency sponsor.
Brock’s Performance President Brock Davidson understands the need for aftermarket race support: "It’s no secret that the OEMs are struggling. Once we heard that factory contingency awards could be wiped out for the 2010 race season, I began thinking of ways to help. As a former privateer and factory-supported drag racer, I know how important contingency is to all racers and am proud that my company is in a position to help."
After increasing 2010 contingency support at AMA Dragbike events 79 percent over its 2008 commitment, Brock’s Performance is also an official "Major Sponsor" of this year’s series, as well as headline sponsor of the Street ET – Presented by Brock’s Performance class, while BST headlines the Real Street – Presented by BST class.
AMA Dragbike President Scott Valetti says, "While many companies have downshifted in this difficult economic climate, Brock’s has decided to pin the throttle with its contingency postings. We were very surprised when Brock told us his company was going to double their initial posting to help compensate for those companies not able to offer what they have in years past. We certainly appreciate this dedication to AMA Dragbike. The racers who compete in the series are lucky to have Brock’s Performance devoted to its customers in so many ways."
In addition to AMA Dragbike racers, hard-charging competitors in the MIROCK Superbike dragrace series will vie for $14,400 from Brock’s Performance for using BST carbon fiber wheels and Brock’s Performance exhaust systems in this eight-race championship.
Brock’s Performance support isn’t limited to straightliners. For 2010 the company is reaching out to roadracers with $37,200 worth of contingency awards in the WERA Motorcycle Roadracing National Challenge, National Endurance and Sportsman series.
At the first round of National Challenge competition, Team Hooters’ Tim Hunt scored three wins with an all-titanium Brock’s Performance CT Dual exhaust system and BST wheels on the team’s GSX-1000 during their first sprint races together.
