Multistrada 1200 Concept
‘A new biking concept’. That was the brief given to the Ducati designers when they started work on the original Multistrada. It arrived on the market in spring of 2003 and, typical of the Bologna manufacturer, created a new and exciting segment. A new vision which combined sports performance with trail road capabilities and provided a comfortable ride and unrivalled versatility.
Initially produced with the air-cooled 1000 DS engine, and later upgraded to 1100cc in 2006, the Multistrada immediately made a name for itself with its bold personality. Thanks to its impressive performance, it soon became synonymous with pure riding pleasure by being equally at ease on mountain roads or motorways and ideal for long distances as well as agile and manageable in town.
Now, Ducati have taken the concept much further, with a design that satisfies the demands of all motorcyclists in one bike. The new Multistrada 1200 puts the emphasis on Multi by being a sport bike that is powerful, fun and easy to ride, while giving first priority to safety and comfort.
