Husband and wife enter endurance road race

Yamaha Factory Racing star Josh Hayes, along with his wife Melissa Paris, and teammate Ben Bostrom are scheduled to compete in the upcoming WERA Endurance race this weekend at Virginia International Raceway in Alton, Virginia.

Competing with Ben Bostrom and Sam Gaige on the M3 Racing YZF-R1, Josh is looking forward to getting back to his WERA roots. "This is where it started for me many years ago and I’m excited to get to race with Ben and Sam. So far this year we have been competing against each other so it will be nice to be on the same team!" Current AMA Supersport Champion Ben Bostrom is excited to make the trip out to VIR and spin some laps with the team. "Josh gets around here really well and VIR is a place I enjoy also. Having competed on my mountain bike in solo endurance events I am looking forward to my first motorcycle endurance race in a long time!"

The weekend will also feature Josh’s wife Melissa Paris who will compete with teammates Mike Cerone and Miles Thornton on the Markbilt/GYT-R YZF-R6. Melissa is an accomplished racer in her own right who earlier this season made history by competing in the Daytona 200 as well as being the first woman to qualify for a World Supersport event at Miller Motorsports Park. Melissa will also compete in the upcoming AMA National at VIR the following weekend.
