A Ducati Story
With the unveiling of some new superbike machinery, most notably the 1199 Panigale, and the signing of nine-time World Champion Valentino Rossi to the MotoGP team, the Italian manufacturer Ducati began yet another legendary trek in its long history.
Paris Hilton Racing Team’s Maverick Vinales set a time one second faster than his FP2 time of 1’44.597, putting him on pole for the 125cc MotoGP Assen, his second consecutive pole for the 2011 season in only his seventh World Championship start.

Since Ducati reported earlier this week that Valentino Rossi would be competing on the GP11.1, an updated version of his MotoGP prototype, many expect the Italian to return to his nine-time World Championship-winning ways this weekend at Assen.
2012 MotoGP Championship
Dunlop Motorsport, IRTA and Dorna Sports have signed a contract for the exclusive supply of tyres to the Moto3 Championship, a deal which will commence upon the introduction of the new category in 2012 and will run until the end of the 2014 season.
FIM Junior Motocross World Championship
The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) has assembled a team of the best youth motocross racers in the world to represent the United States at the Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) Junior Motocross Championships in Cingoli, Italy, on Aug. 13-14. The U.S. team will defend the World Championship it won last year in France.
This weekend’s Le Mans Moto2 race will bring celebration in the Repsol paddock as Marc Marquez celebrates his 50th race in the World Championship.
