    The man leading the WSBK Championship is Althea Ducati’s Carlos Checa; in seven of 13 rounds, the Spaniard has won eight of 14 races, including doubles at Phillip Island, Miller and Misano.

    The quickest time in the opening World Superbike testing session at a wet Phillip Island Australia went to Sylvain Guintoli on an Effenbert Liberty Racing Ducati 1198 R.

    Right behind the Frenchman was Jonathan Rea (Castrol Honda CBR 1000 RR) ahead of the second Ducati 1198 R from the Czech Republic team in the hands of Jakub Smrz.
