On Sunday, the 17-rider MotoGP grid battled for points at the 2.626-mile Misano Circuit for Round 13, the San Marino Grand Prix.

With his wins at both USA rounds (Laguna Seca and Indy) and Brno, it looked as if Casey Stoner would make it four in a row after taking the pole position at Misano Saturday.

But the Repsol Honda rider complained of fatigue, and wasn’t able to catch his rival, the reigning MotoGP Champion Jorge Lorenzo. The Yamaha Factory Racing rider won in dominate fashion, leading all 28 laps.

Joining Lorenzo on the podium was Repsol Honda’s Dani Pedrosa and Stoner. The Misano win was Lorenzo’s third of the 2011 MotoGP Championship, which helped him reduce Stoner’s lead to 35 with five rounds remaining.

Attached above are some video highlights of the 2011 San Marino Grand Prix.
