Since our first look at the Buell Super Cruiser in February 2023, we’ve been waiting for a production version from the factory in Grand Rapids, Michigan. That wait is over with the debut of the 2026 Buell Super Cruiser.
VIN #0001 will be on display at Barber Motorsports Museum during the Barber Vintage Fests. Once final certifications are pried out of the government regulators, the bikes will be delivered to the first customers. According to Buell insiders, the process will take at least two months.
The spec sheet has a lot to like. A peak of 175 horsepower is produced by the ET-V2 engine, bolstered by 94 lb-ft of torque delivered at 8500 rpm. The six-speed transmission is matched to a hydraulically actuated clutch with a slipper function. Power is delivered to the rear wheel via a 520 Z-ring chain.
Dunlop Sportmax Q5A tires are mounted on 17-inch wheels, and Fox takes care of the suspension. Three Brembo calipers slow things down, featuring two radially mounted graspers in the front, paired with 320mm discs.
Styling is bold thanks to an association with Roland Sands Design. Check out the retro-style stepped seat, California Club handlebar, underbar mirrors, quarter fairing, bobbed front fender, valanced rear fender, a commanding radiator, and a long, boisterous muffler.
The 2026 Buell Super Cruiser has a list price of $25,900, with a deposit of $1000 required to get the ball rolling. The Super Cruiser joins the Hammerhead 1190 superbike and 1190SX upright sportbike. Still on the to-do list for Buell are the SuperTouring sport-touring bike and the Baja 1190 DR, an off-road-only bike designed for ripping through sand dunes.
