2016 Victory Cross Country 8-Ball | Motorcycle Buyer’s Guide
Stripped down to basics, the 2016 Victory Cross Country 8-Ball is about getting where you need to go with out fancy accouterments and doing it in blacked-out style. You still get the necessities—a large fork-mounted fairing, 21 gallons of lockable and weatherproof storage, twin front disc brakes and plenty of room for the rider. Of course, it also has the Freedom 106/6 powerplant that is tuned to prove the rider with 106 ft/lbs of torque from the 106 ci displacement. Inverted forks, rear air shock, and plenty of lean angle make the Cross Country 8-Ball handle well.
This week we ride two genre-departing motorcycles from the established American manufacturers. Jess McKinley gives us his thoughts on the all new Harley-Davidson Pan America Special, and Ron Lieback gives his on Indian’s latest version of the FTR 1200 S.
