MV Agusta Rivale 800 Video

The MV Agusta brands itself as “Motorcycle Art.” And lately, this art has not only reflected on MVA’s motorcycles, but also the Varese-based company’s marketing efforts.

In a new video for its MV Agusta Rivale 800, MVA tells a story of a man that needs to release some stress. He enters his high-rise apartment in a pressed suit, drops the keys to the daily driver, and gazes out his window, the camera zooming in on his wedding ring.

With the sun setting, the man dresses in his night attire – a Dainese suit and Arai helmet. He leaves the normal world behind, and rides his Rivale 800 until dawn. The video ends with the simple words – “Beyond Exclusive.”

Unveiled at the 2012 EICMA, the Rivale 800 becomes the fourth 2013 MV Agusta offering with an inline three, joining the F4 675 supersport, and the Brutale 675 and Brutale 800 naked sportbikes. The Rivale 800 is MV Agusta’s answer to the Ducati Hypermotard, which has been a popular model in Ducati’s lineup.

The new 800′s engine is basically a bored-out version of the 675. The 800 creates 125 horsepower at 11,600 rpm, which is 12 ponies more than the 675, and 60 ft. lbs. of torque at 8,600 rpm.

MV Agusta has also loaded up the Rivale 800 with top electronic and suspension components, including the Italian company’s new MVICS (Motor & Vehicle Integrated Control System) technology, and Marzocchi and Sachs suspension components.

All of this is available for under $14,000, allowing many to enter world of MV Agusta – a world that’s “Beyond Exclusive.”
