Following Fillmore Episode 3
The third episode of “Following Filmore” was released Thursday. The installment is from a series that documents the life of AMA Pro National Guard SuperBike HMC KTM rider Chris Fillmore.
Episode 3 takes viewers through the somber parts of a motorcycle racer’s life, the installment a dedication to Fillmore’s fellow two-wheel competitor Rocco Horvath.
Speaking of the episode, KTM says “Chris talks about a young, spirited, positive racer who was paralyzed in a road racing crash in June of 2012, during the WERA West’s event at Willow Springs International Raceway in Rosamond, Calif.”
To help the recovering 18-year-old racer, Jason Pridmore and the STAR Motorcycle School organized a track day at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway in November. All proceeds from the day went to Rocco and his family. KTM says Rocco’s recovery process is going very well.
The 25-year-old Fillmore began professionally racing in 2003 in the inaugural AMA SuperMoto series. Due to his strong finishes, Fillmore got a ride with factory Red Bull KTM at the age of 16, the youngest racer in the series. Fillmore continued to race in AMA, winning the 2011 AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR1200 Series, and delivering various podiums aboard the KTM RC8 in the SuperBike Championship.
