ugly BROS Moto Pants Test
Finding a protective motorcycle pant that fits well and has style is not an easy task, and the Korea-based ugly BROS is out to change this with its line of fashionable protective wear.
One of ugly BROS most popular apparel line is the Moto Pants series, and I recently ordered a pair of the Fetherbed-Orginial pants.
Upon receiving them, I was happy with the styling. I wore them around without telling anyone that they were riding pants. I can confidently say that a few of my lady friends commented on how much they liked them and how good they looked. Actually, I’m not sure I ever had so many positive comments even from a pair of stylish jeans.
The Moto Pants Featherbed-Original are made from 97-percent cotton and 3-percent elastine/spandex. The elastine gives them a little stretch, which I’m thankful for when getting on and off the bike as well as riding for long periods of time.
The jeans arrive with Powertector High Impact Performance Bioelastan removable knee and hip protectors, which are easy to take out and reinsert. While the hips have the standard insert sleeves, the knees have a really stylish outer pocket (out-patched) that you can easily slide the knee protectors into and out of.
Bioelastan is an environmental friendly anti-shock material that dissipates energy and greatly reduces the impact forces to the body. With that said, thank goodness I have not had to test their energy dissipating performance.
The ugly BROS website has a multitude of different styles (men/women), colors, washes and fits. The company even have some outerwear options that I will check out.
The ugly BROS slogan is “WRBR – We’re not Racers, but Riders,” the company stating its products are “not a genuine riding gear for high speed or long distance tour.” Rather, the products are designed for daily casual riding (commute, close range movement). ugly BROS calls such apparel “Hybrid-Wear,” which brings the world of high-style fashion into protective motorcycle gear. I’m sold .
