2012 AMA Supercross
Another video surfaced Monday of James "Bubba" Stewart practicing at his home track in Florida, this clip shot under the lights during the evening.
In the video, Stewart runs the JGRMX Yamaha YZ450F to the extreme, showing just how hard the two-time AMA Supercross Champion practices.
This video arrives on YouTube following round 7 of the 2012 AMA Supercross Championship at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Early in the race, he had a collision with his Joe Gibbs Racing Yamaha teammate Davi Millsaps sending both to the dirt. Stewart was able to restart the Yamaha, finishing sixth. Stewart, who won round 4 in Oakland, is now 42 points behind series leader and winner of Arlington Supercross, Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto.
James Stewart (JGRMX Yamaha YZ450F Supercross) says: "Sixth place is not where we want to be. I got a bad start…that’s when things happen. Davi fell and I ran into him and that’s when I stalled the bike. I did my best to come up and reached sixth from nineteenth and nearly got fifth. I’ve got faith that luck will start to roll my way soon."
The 2012 AMA SX grid will be back on the track next Saturday for round 8 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
