Kawasaki’s Tickle: AMA Supercross Debut

2012 AMA Supercross

Broc Tickle has proven himself in the AMA Supercross Lite series. At the conclusion of his fifth Lites season, Tickle piloted his Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki to one win and seven podium finishes to take the 2011 Western Regional Lites title.

Not only was it his first Lites title, but it also solidified the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki racing squad as the most dominant in supercross history; Tickle’s win was the 18th for Kawasaki in the Supercross Lites Class.

But new challenges await for the 22-year old of Holly, Mich. In 2012, Tickle will make his debut in the AMA Supercross class, competing against the series’ top riders, such as Ryan Villopoto (Monster Energy Kawasaki), Chad Reed (Two-Two Motorsports Honda), Ryan Dungey (Red Bull KTM) and James Stewart (Joe Gibbs Racing Yamaha).

Broc Tickle (Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki KX450F) says: “I think it’s a blessing in disguise that I got bumped up to the Supercross Class. I’m excited to race with the top guys who have been around for a while. My main goal is to be consistent and run up front.”

Tickle’s debut in the Supercross class will be at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif., Jan. 7, but it won’t be his debut on the Kawasaki KX450F. During the inaugural Monster Energy Cup held this past October, Tickle finished 16th overall.

Brock Tickle says: “Riding the 450 suits my style better. Before I was a bigger guy on a Lites Class bike, and I feel the KX450F is really where I need it to be. I’ve been training on the KX450F for a while now and am feeling pretty comfortable.

“Overall, I’m really happy with the bike. I’m pretty thankful to be with Kawasaki and Pro Circuit. I’m happy they gave me the opportunity to stay with the team and transition to the 450.”
