Motorcycle Helmets
Seven vents or eight vents in your motorcycle helmet? That is the question, and AFX has a helmet that fits either bill. The FX-95 is AFX’s street motorcycle helmet with an eight-point ventilation system built into its composite poly-alloy shell.
According to AFX, the FX-95’s "roomy ear cavity allows space for communication speakers, and the eight-point ventilation system on chin, side, forehead and top does wonders to regulate airflow." The anti-microbial nylon liner is hypoallergenic, and the motorcycle helmet’s cheek pads can be removed for washing.
An adjustable cam/buckle-style quick release chinstrap retention system is designed to be used easily. The face shield is claimed to be optically correct, compound-curved, scratch-resistant, and protects against UV rays.
The AFX-95 street full-face motorcycle helmet is approved by the DOT and ECE-22.05, and a clearcoat finish protects the finish while the helmet protects your head. Sizes range from XS to XXL, with a wide variety of solid and graphic designs available.
AFX gave the FX-90 full-face motorcycle helmet all the features above, except that it uses a seven-point ventilation system on chin, side, forehead, and top. This allows the FX-90 to sell for about 25% less than the FX-95, making it a viable choice for motorcycle riders in cooler climates.
Sizes are the same, with a wide choice of paint and graphics. The FX-90 is also DOT and ECE-22.05 approved. The AFX FX-90 street bike helemt has a MSRP of $74.95 to $84.95 while the AFX FX-95 street bike helmet goes for a MSRP of $99.95 to $104.95.
