Motorcycle Charity
Operation Christmas Stocking is an annual fundraiser designed by Las Vegas Harley-Davidson and Red Rock Harley-Davidson to collect goods and raise funds to package and ship the goods to our troops overseas for the holidays.
The Harley motorcycle dealerships will host a poker run and raffle for the troops, which is open to the public. Goods can be dropped off at either dealership location, as well as at the Leatherneck Club – located at 4360 Spring Mountain Rd., Las Vegas, NV. 89102 – through the end of November.
Everyone’s welcome to join the poker run with $1,750 in prizes and to participate in the raffle drawing. The all starts at 10 AM on November 20th.
Randy Compton (Las Vegas Harley-Davidson’s event coordinator) says: "Last year’s Operation Christmas Stocking event raised enough money and goods to send over 300 packages overseas. This is our way to invite the Vegas Valley to join us in wishing our troops a happy 2010 holiday season."
"One-hundred percent of the goods, poker run fees and other funds raised will support this worthy cause. Through other generous donations, we hope to make this a very happy holiday for the troops."
A list of pre-approved goods can be secured at Las Vegas Harley-Davidson motorcycle dealership or online at www.lvhd.com. It is estimated that each that each package will cost approximately $12 plus the goods it contains.
The motorcycle poker run entry fee is $25 per hand. Those interested may register on-site from 10-11 a.m. on Nov. 20.
