Helmet House, Inc., one of the nation’s largest powersports equipment distributors; and Novation S.p.A., parent company of TCX Boots, announced today that they are amicably ending their business relationship by the end of 2010.
Mark Gandy (Director of Products for Helmet House) says: "This was a very difficult decision to make. Given the quality of the TCX product we were quite excited to take this line on, however with the industry’s challenging market conditions, the competitive climate within the boot category and TCX’s available sales and marketing resources for the United States we felt it best to recommend that TCX find another distribution option and they concurred,."
Bob Miller (Helmet House Co-Founder and President) says: "Helmet House took on the line while it was still branded as Oxtar. During the second year of our involvement the Oxtar line was re-branded as TCX globally. I know I speak for everyone at Helmet House in wishing Novation and TCX the best in their future endeavors in the United States."
Marco Poloni (Global Sales and Marketing Director for the Novation S.p.A. family of brands) says: "We’d like to thank Helmet House for over four years of brand stewardship during our transition from Oxtar to TCX, but we feel it necessary, given the current market conditions in the United States, to reconfigure our United States distribution options to an independent sales force more focused on gaining placement in key dealerships."
Plans for a transition of marketing, sales, service, and distribution functions are currently underway and should be completed by the end of the third quarter of 2010, when Novation S.p.A. will begin distributing TCX Boots through its North American subsidiary, Novation North America, Inc.
