KTM factory rider and extreme Endurist Taddy Blazusiak competed in a round of the Austrian Cross Country on Saturday scoring a resounding victory riding a standard series model KTM 350 SX-F with no special modifications or setups.
The event, at Mattighofen in the KTM heartland in Austria, was the penultimate race of the season for the Austrian Cross Country Championship and ended with a three way podium for KTM. Joining Taddy on the podium were Austrian riders Michael Staufer in second and Mario Hirshschmugl in third.
It was a great result for Blazusiak and the KTM 350 SX-F. The Polish rider had a great start and led throughout the entire race finishing with a winning margin of around seven minutes.
Taddy, multiple winner of the notorious Erzberg Rodeo and already on his way to securing his second consecutive Endurocross title in the USA, made short work of the heavy and well worn track. It had rained in the morning and the ground was already rutted after earlier races when the pro group hit the track.
The revolutionary KTM 350 SX-F, developed by KTM’s R&D department in close cooperation with 10-times MX world champion and Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Manager Stefan Everts has already picked up its first world championship title in MX1 with factory rider Tony Cairoli at the helm.
