2011 Kawasaki ZX-10R Test: Tweet Report
The all-new 2011 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R superbike has been in development for some time now, and it has now been exposed to some degree of public exposure on the racetrack for the first time.
On the first testing day, Hidemichi Takahashi rode the motorcycle at Suzuka in Japan. Day-two at Suzuka saw former Kawasaki World Superbike race winner Akira Yanagawa testing the promising new machine.
In ‘stealth’ black carbon fiber bodywork, the swooping and angular lines of the new Ninja are well in evidence.
The 2011 model is stated to have a new engine, new frame, new suspension and innovative technology, but the full bodywork and the large radiator hid the engine architecture and other details from onlookers.
Facebook user says: “The specs sound incredible… rumors abound of 200+ bhp and a WET weight of less than 200kg. They’re just that–rumors–but even so, clearly Kawi are determined to compete again–I love it!!”
As below, comments on the motorcycle test were revealed on Twitter by the Kawasaki development team throughout the test weekend. No other details on the superbike have been released. More details and photos to follow on UltimateMotorCycling.com as we get them.
