MotoGP Revised Calendar
The recent vulcano eruption in Iceland has resulted in an ash cloud infiltration. Air traffic control over Europe has stopped all international travel in and out of Europe. This has affected air travel in over 30 countries. As a results, motorcycle racing schedules have been impacted.
Following the postponement of the Grand Prix of Japan due to ‘force majeure’ (forces of nature), the FIM has accepted the proposal made by the Grand Prix Permanent Bureau to reschedule the MotoGP of Japan to October 3rd, 2010.
The 2010 amended calendar, due to the recent volcanic eruption in Eyjafjoell Iceland, for the FIM Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix is the following (change in bold):
