Telecom Italia renews with MotoGP

MotoGP Support

Dorna Sports S.L. and Telecom Italia are extremely pleased to announce the prolongation of their relationship for a further three years, which will include the continued presence of the company’s brand on trackside signage as well as the title sponsorship of the Grand Premio d’Italia TIM at Mugello.

The relationship between Dorna and Telecom Italia is already well established, having started in 2005, and the company’s widely-recognised brands has until now been their most visual presence in the MotoGP World Championship.

From 2010 TIM will be the chosen title brand of Telecom Italia in MotoGP, with the company’s image continuing to be seen by millions of MotoGP fans around the world thanks to its prominent visual existence on turns and bridges in several events, as well as the title sponsorship of the Gran Premio d’Italia TIM.

Pau Serracanta Speaks… Dorna Sports S.L. Managing Director

"We’re delighted with this agreement because after so many years supporting teams and events of the Championship, Telecom Italia still believes that it is a very good option to remain involved in MotoGP. Moreover, it is always a pleasure to sign an agreement with a company with whom we share the same philosophy of a constant technological evolution."

"With the long term renewal of this partnership- said Carlo Fornaro, Head of External Relation at Telecom Italia – the company confirms its commitment to young people and to sports of social gathering through the TIM brand. We look with increasing attention at motorcycling, a discipline with long standing tradition, which shares with the world of telecommunications, a climate of competition, of selective challenge and the push towards technological innovation".
