BMW Motorrad Motorsport welcomes a new sponsoring partner: The Gnutti Carlo S.p.A Group will support the team in the FIM Superbike World Championship. The two year sponsoring agreement starts as from the upcoming race weekend at Motorland Aragón (ESP), the seventh round of the 2011 season.
FIM Junior Motocross World Championship
The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) has assembled a team of the best youth motocross racers in the world to represent the United States at the Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) Junior Motocross Championships in Cingoli, Italy, on Aug. 13-14. The U.S. team will defend the World Championship it won last year in France.
2011 World Superbike
As expected, Kawasaki Racing’s Chris Vermeulen will miss the American round of the 2011 World Superbike Championship at Miller Motorsports Park this weekend.
The Australian won’t pilot the Kawasaki ZX-10R at Miller due to recuperating from an elbow injury sustained during high side in practice for the last round (4) in Monza, Italy,
2011 Brutale 920
I just returned from the MV Agusta factory in Varese, Italy, where I have tested MV Agusta’s first serious attempt at something you could be stretched to call a "budget" motorcycle, the all black 2011 Brutale 920.
The very team that runs MV Agusta today were the very same team that brought Ducati its first successes since the 70s.
For the second consecutive round, Yamaha ParkinGO Team rider Chaz Davies piloted his YZF-R6 to victory. This weekend Davies took this week’s win in Italy after 16 laps of the Monza circuit.
Joining Davies on the podium was his teammate Luca Scassa and Hannspree Ten Kate Honda’s Fabiet Foret, who finished 7.9 seconds behind Davies.

2011 World Superbike
Following a crash during private testing in Assen last month, BMW Motorrad Italia’s James Toseland injured his wrist, having surgical pins installed.
This week, the Brit had those pins removed, and is hoping to return to the 2011 World Superbike Championship aboard the BMW S1000RR in Monza, Italy, May 8.
