The Yamaha Champions Riding School at Miller Motorsports Park is adding an additional July school date to their current calendar due to higher-than-expected demand.
"We are excited about the interest we are getting in the school so early on," said Daniel Short, manager of the Yamaha Champions Riding School. "We expected a lot of interest, but having to add a class to our schedule really shows how many people are in need of the services we are providing."
The newly formed Yamaha Champions Riding School will provide a multitude of services and discounts in support of Racing 2 Save Lives (R2SL), an annual charity motorcycle riding event, at Miller Motorsports Park over the weekend of July 3-5.
Contributions include a 20-percent discount to registered R2SL participants in the July 6-7 Yamaha Champions Riding School class at Miller Motorsports Park immediately following the charity event, low-cost classroom and on-track instruction throughout the event provided by Yamaha Champions Riding School instructors Mark Schellinger and Shane Turpin, two-u
The inaugural Yamaha Champions Riding School at Miller Motorsports Park concluded Thursday afternoon, June 4. The graduates of the school’s first class were greatly improved and more confident riders than when they arrived Wednesday morning.
"These past two days have made such a difference in my riding," said first-time student Doug Thayer. "I have been to riding schools, had one-on-one days with instructors and read a lot of information about riding, but these guys made it easier to understand and put to use.
