Racer Mickey Gloves Review

I’m picky about gloves, and the Mickey from Racer Gloves is my go-to street glove. The compromise with hot weather gloves is ventilation vs. protection, and the Mickey covers both well.

It’s a short glove made with a combo of real and synthetic leather, plus a small amount of textile mesh so it’s nice and cool. A hard knuckle protector and scaphoid slider make me feel secure should I need protection.

The Mickey gloves are exceedingly well made and ooze premium quality. Even when new, they immediately felt good, but now that they’ve got some miles they fit perfectly.

I have relatively long fingers, so I appreciate the box construction that avoids my pet peeve of seams interfering under my fingernails.

Overall the Racer Mickey gloves feel soft, yet clearly they’re very strong and, because they are not bulky, I still have that vital feel at the throttle and brake.
