BMW: June Motorcycle Sales Up 6.7%

2012 BMW Motorcycle Sales

BMW Motorrad North America released its motorcycle-sales figures for the month of June, 2012, reported an increase of 6.7 percent.

BMW Group U.S. says a total of 1,310 motorcycles were sold, compared to 1,228 motorcycles sold in June, 2011.

As for year-to-date, BMW Motorrad North America sales are up 20 percent on sales of 6,453 compared to 5,376 sold in the first half of 2011.

BMW reports that inn June, the best performing models included the S 1000 RR, up 50.5 percent to 310 units, and the G-Series, up 51.4 percent to 112 units.

Motorcycle Sales BMW of North America, June 2012:

  • June 2011: 1,310 motorcycles sold
  • June 2012: 1,228 motorcycles sold, a 6.7 % increase
  • YTD Motorcycles sold in 2011: 5,376
  • YTD Motorcycles sold in 2012: 6,453, a 20% increase
