If you are looking for something completely different in the dual-sport world, the DOT-legal Christini AWD 450 DS certainly fits the bill.
Having ridden the off-road version of this groundbreaking all-wheel-drive motorcycle, we can assure you that AWD is not a gimmick. It is a highly practical feature that allows riders to easily climb hills that a traditional single-wheel-drive bike cannot go.
Also, it rails in corners like nothing else. Christini doesn’t publicize the source of the AWD 450 DS’s motor, but it look suspiciously like a Honda CRF450F powerplant, so it should be both powerful and reliable.
