The 2025 SuperMotocross World Championship went down to the last couple of laps after 31 rounds. When the final checkered flag of the year was waved, Jett Lawrence took home his third consecutive SMX title, besting Hunter Lawrence by 14 points.
Jett came into the SMX Final with a six-point lead, and Jett’s 1-2 night was enough to beat Hunter’s 3-1 scorecard. Jett’s title-securing pass came on lap 13 of 15, when he went by a fading Eli Tomac. The pass moved Jutt from P3 on the night to the top of the podium, pushing Hunter and Tomac down a spot. Tomac finished the SMX series 16 points behind Hunter.
Ken Roczen (5-4) took P4 for the night and SMX series, with Justin Cooper (4-6) right behind Roczen in the Las Vegas results and the finals standings. Chase Sexton came into Las Vegas Motor Speedway in P4 in the standings, but dropped to P14 when he was injured in a last-lap crash.
The 2026 SuperMotocross World Championship will resume with the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series in January, though the schedule has not been announced.
