9. The Star Eluder gets less bling than the Venture. Instead of the Venture’s chrome exhaust, the Eluder goes with matte black. Additionally, the motor and wheels get the dark treatment on the Eluder.

10. Color choices are different, and generally more subdued for the Eluder. Instead of the Venture’s Raspberry Metallic color option, the Eluder has Impact Blue. While the Venture is also available in Granite Gray, the Eluder bookends that shade with a darker Raven option and a lighter Liquid Silver (which has some red trim on the fairing, tank, and bags). The two gray-based Eluders also get red accents on the wheels.

11. There’s a GT Option Package for the 2018 Yamaha Star Eluder. Kick in an extra $1500 and you get more features in the infotainment system. That means GPS navigation, SiriusXM, and a CB radio, in addition to an integrated security and alarm system.

12. The 2018 Yamaha Star Eluder won’t hit showroom floors until January 2018. This is no surprise, as the 2018 Yamaha Star Venture has suffered a “production delay,” according to Yamaha, and the Venture won’t be in the hands of buyers until the second half of December.
