2014 Dakar Rally KTM Video Preview

The 35th edition of the Dakar Rally officially begins this Sunday, Jan. 5, and the KTM Factory Team is ready.

Piloting the KTM 450 Rally machine at this year’s “toughest” race will be three-time Dakar winner Marc Coma, Ruben Faria and Francisco Lopez.

KMT says “The 2014 edition of the world’s most renowned rally is also new era for the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team who are well prepared to face the challenges of what organizers say will be one of the longest and most difficult to date.”

This year’s Rally begins in Rosario, Argentina, Jan. 5 and ends in Valparaiso, Chile, Jan. 18. All together, riders will battle a total of 5,427 miles, with 3,249 of those timed specials. The riders will cover a wide variety of terrain in Argentina, Bolivia and Chile.
