Hyperpro Releases STREET BOX Basic Suspension KitHyperpro STREET BOX Basic Suspension Kit

EPM Performance Imports, the exclusive U.S. importer, manufacturer and distributor of Hyperpro motorcycle suspension products and steering dampers, has released the new STREET BOX Basic Suspension Kit, an affordable rear shock and fork spring package.

Engineered, tested and tuned specifically for 220 popular sportbikes, standard and sport-tourers built between 1981 and 2014 from 11 top brands, the kit also includes fork oil, low-friction seal grease and a setup booklet.

At the heart of this STREET BOX package is Hyperpro’s 460-series emulsion shock. It offers 50 positions of rebound damping adjustability and infinite preload settings. The progressively wound spring’s tension is set easily via a threaded collar with an included spanner wrench.

Matched to each shock is a pair of Hyperpro’s rising-rate fork springs and fork oil. Their spring rate and viscosity are based on each bike’s weight, damping characteristics, chassis geometry and intended use. Low-friction grease is also included to facilitate fork-seal replacement.

To aid customer installation of this do-it-yourself kit, the STREET BOX comes with a manual covering fork-spring replacement and bike-specific setup data. It contains recommendations for fork oil height, front and rear sag measurements, rebound settings, details on use of fork-spring spacers, whether or not to raise fork tubes in the triple clamp and if so, by how much. Live phone support from Hyperpro technicians is also available for install and setup help.

All Hyperpro springs carry a lifetime warranty; shocks are covered for five years. This Basic Kit is the first of three STREET BOXES to be introduced. High-Performance and Race Kits are in the works.

Founded in 1997 and based in Englishtown, New Jersey, EPM’s mission is to provide motorcycle enthusiasts with accurately prepared shocks at reasonable prices in the shortest time possible with excellent after-sale support. The comprehensive suspension shop also refreshes, revalves and rebuilds OEM and other aftermarket shocks, performs on-site suspension service and set-up, in addition to building one-off dampers for custom bikes.
