For the first time since 1976, Norton motorcycles will be distributed in Spain.

And the distributor will be one that shares a history with British motorcycle company – Corver S.a., the original Spanish distributor of Norton up until 1976.

Corver is located in Spain’s second-largest city, Barcelona, and is the largest distributor for motorcycle accessories and spare parts.

Josep Rovira (Corver CEO) says: “We are proud to collaborate with the Norton brand once again and we are very enthusiastic with this new project.”

Following the purchase of the rights in 2006 to Norton by UK Businessman Stuart Garner from US ownership, three Commando models became available in May 2011 – the the traditional Commando 961 Sport, the 961 Cafe Racer and the performance 961 SE.

Every Commando model features a 961cc computer controlled, fuel injected, counter balanced, parallel twin engine, accompanied by the world’s finest components like Ohlins suspension and Brembo brakes.

The new Norton Commando 961 SE, limited to a production of 200, features an honest-to-goodness British-designed, air-cooled, long-stroke, parallel-twin powerplant, with pushrods, a dry sump and, saints preserve us, a balancer shaft (no Isolastic frame this time around).

All Commando motorcycles are built in a new manufacturing facility at legendary Donington Park in the British Midlands.
