FIM SuperEnduro Championship

The FIM re-branded the World Indoor Enduro, which was re-branded the SuperEnduro World Championship for 2012, kicked off before 8,000 fans in the Palasport Fiera in Genoa, Italy, this past weekend.

The first of three rounds, which is highlighted in the above video, was dominated by a name that continually gains more and more status - Taddy Blazusiak. And as always, the polis rider piloted a KTM to victory.

Joining Blazusiak on the overall podium was Husaberg's Joakim Ljunggren (Sweden) and KTM's Gristobal Guerero (Spain).

The SuperEnduro race consists of three qualifying heats, two last-chance qualifying races, and three finals.

Taddy took the number-one spot after competing with 15 other SuperEnduro riders.

Taddy Blazusiak (KTM) says: "I think the most important thing tonight was my starts. They were amazing. I could feel I was on the limit of the grip and I could push as hard as I wanted to. I could see the point where I was going to end up. Good starts make my job so much easier. I can pull a little gap on the other guys and race my own race."

Round 2 of the 2012 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship will take place in the Lodz, Poland, Saturday, Dec. 10.
