AMA Superbike / Sportbike
Heading to New Jersey Motorsports Park for Round 11 of 12 in the AMA Pro Racing Series, which includes Superbike, Daytona Sportbike, Supersport and the Vance & Hanes XR1200 Series? Here’s a guide to your AMA Pro Racing weekend.
Events begin at 10 a.m. Friday, and continue through the weekend until the final AMA Superbike race that begins at 3:15 p.m. on Sunday.

Friday, Sept. 3
- 10 a.m. Mandatory Riders, Entrants & Crew Chiefs Meeting
- 10:30 a.m. – 10:50 a.m. Track Inspection
- 11 a.m. Top Gun Post Entry Closed
- 11 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Lunch Break (National Guard two-up rides)
- Noon – 12:50 p.m. Practice 50 min Daytona SportBike
- 1 p.m. – 1:50 p.m. Practice 50 min American SuperBike
- 2 p.m. – 2:50 p.m. Practice 50 min SuperSport
- 3 p.m. – 3:50 p.m. Qualifying 1 50 min Daytona SportBike
- 4 p.m. – 4:50 p.m. Qualifying 1 50 min American SuperBike

AMA Track Walk:
This year, for the first time, NJMP will give fans and amateur riders the opportunity to experience a guided walk around the 2.25 mile Thunderbolt Raceway at NJMP with an AMA Pro Racing rider!
You and a small group will be paired up with one pro rider and head out onto the race track where you’ll learn how the rider sets up his bike for turns, navigates passing zones and gets up to speeds near 170 mph.
There truly is a reason why they can blitz through the 14 turns of Thunderbolt at an amazingly fast one minute and 21 seconds, you will learn firsthand from the AMA pro rider.
This exclusive event will take place on Saturday evening, Sept., 4 from 5:30-6:30pm. Tickets are only $10 and assignments are limited, so be sure to act quickly to reserve your slot for an event will surely become another NJMP tradition.
