The 2016 MotoAmerica Championship headed to New Jersey Motorsports Park this weekend for round three of nine. Though chilly on Saturday, the rain held out. This was not the issue on Sunday, though, when rain plagued the track in Millville, N.J.
Splitting the wins – both firsts of 2016 – were the reigning MotoAmerica Supersport Champion JD Beach (Saturday) and SportbikeTrackGear.com Suzuki’s Cameron Petersen (Sunday).
Road Atlanta in Braselton Georgia hosted round two of the 2016 MotoAmerica AMA/FIM Road Racing Championship series this past weekend. The Supersport and Superstock 600cc bikes were battling it out Saturday and Sunday just as hard as the Superbike classes out in the Georgia sun.
Garrett Gerloff followed up his his pole-earning performance of Friday at Circuit of the Americas to win the opening round of the 2015 MotoAmerica Supersport Series, the Texan taking victory in his home race by 1.004 seconds over his teammate JD Beach, the defending MotoAmerica Supersport series champion.
