2012 Dakar Rally Video
Ten stages are complete in the 2012 Dakar Rally, with KTM’s Cyril Despres and Marc Coma sharing eight of those wins.
But Wednesday’s Stage 10 wasn’t won by either KTM rider; rather, Speedbrain Husqvarna’s Joan Barreda Bort of Spain took the win, taking the stage by 1:32 ahead of Coma, with Despres a further 3:39 back in third.
But overall, it’s still an intense battle between the Spaniard Coma and the Frenchman Despres. Following 10 of 14 stages, Despres now leads his teammate and rival by only 21 seconds. In third, 45:56 away is Yamaha’s Helder Rodrigues, who has a stronghold on the the final podium position; Rodrigues is over a half-hour ahead of KTM’s Jordi Viladoms in fourth.
Attached above are video highlights of Stage 10 in 2012 Dakar Rally, which took riders from Inquique to Arica, Chile.
