Sturgis On The Road
For decades Sturgis, S.D., has been heralded as the location of the "Mecca" of all motorcycle rallies. Held on the first full week of August since 1938, Sturgis Rally Week has been drawing motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the world to participate in a week chock full of motorcycle revelry.
Despite the countless motorcycles still in hibernation in garages across the country, the countdown has officially commenced. Now only over six months out, the Legendary Buffalo Chip has already begun preparations for the 70th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally 2010.
Hot Leathers is warming its engines in preparation for another high octane rally season. Car Crazy Television, the leading worldwide automotive enthusiast television show, visited Sturgis Bike Week this past August to get a behind-the-scenes peak of the yearly festival’s inner-workings.

The exhibit entitled ‘Rebel Rousers, Motorcycle Icons that Inspire Us to Ride’ showcased the most important collection of motorcycles and art to ever grace Sturgis and was viewed by thousands of guests.
Legendary Buffalo Chip Provides Ultimate Sturgis Experience during Sturgis Rally Week 2009 Sturgis, S.D. (August 24, 2009) Sturgis Bike Week 2009 has come and gone and the Legendary Buffalo Chip has once again proven itself as the best party anywhere. The epicenter of this year’s rally and all of its high-octane revelry provided bike enthusiasts from across the country the ultimate Sturgis experience. By bikers and for bikers, the Legendary Buffalo Chip afforded its visitors an array of entertainment, art, vendors, food, amenities and countless memories.

More than 350 bikes and 500 riders from around the world converged on Deadwood, SD on Monday, August 3 to take part in the Second Annual Legends Ride hosted by the Legendary Buffalo Chip. A record-breaking $61,600 was raised to benefit a number of Black Hills Charities including the Black Hills Children’s Home and the Sturgis Motorcycle Hall of Fame and Museum. Just under $40,000 was raised at last year’s inaugural Legends Ride.
Friday night is burnout night at the Chip and you won’t want to miss this one. The Legendary Buffalo Chip is holding its Second Annual Baker Burnout Drags Competition, followed by an audience participation group burnout on Friday, August 7 during the Sturgis Rally. The competition is a raw execution of power, precision and skill is guaranteed to get your motor running.
The high octane, tournament-style Baker Burnout Drags Competition brought to you by Baker Drivetrain and the Legendary Buffalo Chip will come to a head during Friday night’s entertainment line-up.

The exhibition will be open to the public Saturday, August 1st through Friday, August 7th, and admission is free.
