Team SuzukiScoopFans rider Elena Myers celebrated the end of the AMA Pro SuperSport West Division season with a solid performance at Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, Calif., on Saturday.
The 17-year-old Californian captured a top-five finish in the race and also finished up in fifth place overall in the West Division.

The story remained the same for Valentino Rossi at Round 10 of the 2011 MotoGP Championship.
The Italian struggled throughout the Laguna Seca free practice session as the team attempted to find proper setup on the Ducati GP11.1. Rossi would then qualify seventh.
For the 2011 edition of the United States Grand Prix at Laguna Seca, Bridgestone selected softer rear slick tire compounds. The softer selection was part of a continued bid to respond to MotoGP rider feedback and provide improved warm-up performance in cold conditions.

For Laguna Seca MotoGP, Valentino Rossi had his choice of either the GP11 or the revamped GP11.1.
The Italian decided to go with the GP11.1, as the Ducati team has been working diligently to find a proper setup on the newer 800cc prototype, with Rossi feeling more comfortable on that bike.

Stoner’s time was a second slower than the Laguna Seca circuit record that the Australian set in the 2010 MotoGP Championship (1:21.376).
