    With James Stewart out, Yamaha San Manuel Team’s Josh Hill scored his fourth consecutive podium result and his second runner-up position in a week at a wet Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego for the fourth round of seventeen in the AMA Supercross series, also an FIM World Championship. The visit to southern California was a good one for Yamaha and the 2010 YZ450F as Valli Motorsports’ Ivan Tedesco rode to third place for his first piece of silverware of the season.

    Over 41,000 fans were present for only the eighth Supercross ever that was held last weekend at AT&T Park in San Francisco. The defending champions, Team San Manuel Yamaha, were down to single rider at round 4 of 17 for the AMA Supercross Championship. Josh Hill was left to ride the new reverse-slant cylinder 2010 YZ450F after teammate and defending Supercross champion James Stewart required surgery on a broken scaphoid in his right wrist.

    For the second consecutive week, Yamaha’s Josh Hill finished on the Supercross podium, moving up to a second place finish at Anaheim 2. While teammate and current Supercross Champion, James Stewart finished third.  After more than a solid week of record level rainfall in Southern California, Round 3 of the 2010 Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, started Saturday afternoon with clear skies and a remarkably dry track.

    Suzuki’s Ryan Dungey won his second-straight 2010 Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship race tonight at Angel Stadium. Kawasaki’s Jake Weimer, of Rupert, Idaho, won his third consecutive Western regional AMA Supercross Lites class race, leading all 15 laps of the main event.
