The FIM World Motocross Championship heads to Glen Helen Raceway in California this weekend, the only US round on the 2011 calendar.

FIM Motocross World Championship
Antonio Cairoli was back on the top of the podium in Valkenswaard, while other KTM rider Jeffrey Herlings achieved a new victory at his home track. Steven Frossard is the new leader of the FIM MX1 World Championship and Ken Roczen kept the red plate after the second Grand Prix of the season.

Once work began on a new circuit in Austin, Texas, that will host Formula 1 Racing in 2012, rumors immediately circulated about MotoGP competing at the venue.
And on Tuesday, those rumors became fact – the new Circuit of the Americas will began hosting MotoGP, Moto2 and the future Moto3 classes at the venue for 10 years beginning in 2013.

The 2011 FIM Motocross World Championships starts this weekend in Sevlievo, Bulgaria. Apart from hosting the first Grand Prix of the MX1 and MX2 classes, the prestigious Bulgarian venue will also host the first round of the FIM Women’s Motocross World Championship and the first round of the UEM EMX125.
Grand Prix legend Mick Doohan will ride the iconic Mountain course during the 2011 Isle of Man TT fuelled by Monster Energy.
The five-times 500cc World Champion will complete a lap of the course alongside Ian Hutchinson – who won all five solo TT races in 2010 – on June 8. Doohan will ride a Honda Fireblade during the Arai parade lap.
