    CPSC updates ATV safety report

    A report released by the Consumer Product Safety Commission ("CPSC 2008 Annual Report of ATV Deaths and Injuries") shows a continuation of the decline in fatalities and injuries associated with all-terrain vehicle (ATV) use. According to the CPSC, total ATV-related injuries in 2008 decreased 10 percent from 2007, with injuries to children under 16 declining six percent.

    CPSC also reported that the risk of injury per 10,000 four-wheel ATVs in use declined by 15 percent from 2007 to 2008.

    As part of the ATV Safety Institute’s (ASI) commitment to public outreach of important all-terrain vehicle safety messages, in 2002 ASI partnered with Video Placement Worldwide (VPW), a respected educational service company specializing in placing sponsored educational materials in America’s classrooms, to distribute ASI’s "Ride Safe, Ride Smart" video.

    The "Ride Safe, Ride Smart" video features two families, each with a different motivation for using ATVs: one family uses them for recreation, the other for farming chores.

    Kymco USA now official scooter of NHRA

    KYMCO USA announced today that they will partner with NHRA, the world’s largest motorsports sanctioning body. As part of the agreement, KYMCO USA will become the Official Scooter and ATV of the NHRA.

    KYMCO USA will provide NHRA with scooters and ATV vehicles for use at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series events and at its five owned and operated drag racing facilities.

    As an NHRA official sponsor, KYMCO USA will receive visibility at NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series events as well as exposure throughout NHRA’s various media platforms.
