It’s tax time once again and the motorcycle manufacturers have started releasing fiscal numbers from this past year as well as projections for what’s looking like a promising 2011 – let’s hope so at least! One of the first to release details was Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd, outlining details of the 2010 fiscal year.

Motorsport Aftermarket Group (MAG), a family of leading brands and businesses in the motorsport industry, is expanding its sales and marketing efforts in Japan, and also setting its sights on Asia’s recovering American motorcycle market.
Industry Results Improve
Japanese motorcycle production in Dec. 2010 was recorded as 54,913 units. Compared with the 51,915 units total recorded for the same month of the previous year, this is an increase of 2,998 units or 5.8%, and production increase on the same month of the previous year for ten consecutive months.
Dorna Sports and AirAsia, the world’s best low-cost carrier, signed an agreement today for the airline to be the title sponsor of the 2010 AirAsia British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
The deal was signed by Dorna Sports S.L. CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta and AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes.
Zero Motorcycles announced today its partnership with AMPLE World to expand the Zero Motorcycles brand throughout Asia. Following the popularity and sales success of Zero Motorcycles in North America and Europe, Zero Motorcycles will now be sold in Singapore and greater Asia with the addition of AMPLE as the official distributor for consumer and fleet sales.
"Zero Motorcycles and AMPLE share a common goal of expanding the electric vehicle movement globally," says John Lloyd, VP of World Wide Sales of Zero Motorcycles.
MotoGP rights holders Dorna Sports S.L have reached an agreement with leading motorcycle engine oil brand Shell Advance, for them to become the title sponsor of the 2009 Shell Advance Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix.
The agreement has resulted from an ongoing partnership which has already seen a Shell Advance presence through track side advertising campaigns at MotoGP events this season in Qatar, Italy, Germany and the United States. Shell Advance is also an official technical partner of the factory Ducati MotoGP team.
