Dainese History Webisode #2

Dainese – the Italian manufacturer of the high-tech, air-bag equipped D-Air racing suit worn by nine-time World Champion Valentino Rossi – has produced a nine-part video series about D-air, the company and its 40 year history and people that make it as well as the other Dainese products.

The first installment, which features the D-air racing suit worn by Valentino Rossi, was released on the Dainese Youtube channel in September.

The second installment was launched during an event held at the Milan D-Store in conjunction with the EICMA show. This installment – attached above – features Movistar Yamaha MotoGP’s Rossi, along with the people who prepare his race suits.

“You love your suit because it must protect you those times—better if just a few—when you fall,” he says before recalling the beginning of his own 20-year history with the brand. “To have a Dainese suit was a dream, because only the best and most famous riders had one. For me, wearing the first Dainese suit was a great gift.”

In addition, the series includes Dainese President Lino Dainese, and some famous customers including Giacomo Agostini, Marco Luccinelli and Rossi.
