Thor MX Prime Fit Pants

Thor MX Prime Fit pants review

Thor MX’s Prime Fit pants are similar to the jersey, in that they are designed to be lightweight and close fitting. Meanwhile, flexibility and ventilation are still high on the priority list, as is durability.

The Prime Fit pants have plenty of mobility thanks to the Free Flex system. The pants use a poly-spandex blend in the base of the chassis, as well as spandex expansion panels. I never had any issues with movement while wearing the Prime Fit pants.

Transitions between sitting and standing both in the pits and while riding are effortless. Furthermore, the pants proved to be unrestrictive when extending my leg out in corners, too.

The Thor Prime Fit pants fit me very well. The shin and thigh area are neither too tight nor too loose. The waist area features a number of adjustments to personalize the fit. There are Velcro straps on each side of the rear of the pants to help you get them as tight or loose as you desire. Up front, a ratchet strap waist closure, a small piece of hook-and-loop material, and zipper ensure the waist area has a tailored fit.

Thor MX is well aware of the notion that lightweight racewear is sometimes likened to being fragile or weak. To combat this, Thor uses abrasion-resistant materials and large full-grain leather inner knee panels, as well as extremely lightweight thermal weld panels in the knee and rear yoke of the pants. Thankfully, I have not crashed hard while wearing the pants, but I can say that they haven’t ripped, torn, or worn out at all whatsoever.
