Schubert S2 Sport Review | Premium Motorcycle Helmet

Removing the lining is easy but reinstallation requires a bit of a trick to engage two straps that are part of the Anti-Roll-Off-System (AROS) that is unique to Schuberth helmets. AROS incorporates two internal straps that tension the head straps in such a way as to make it neigh-on impossible for the helmet to come off a rider’s head during a crash.

There is a video online showing the trick and I use a cut piece of plain wire hanger with a J-bend at the end to pull the AROS straps through the cheek pads after washing the interior components. Other than that, the rest of the interior components are plug-and-play.

The S2 Sport incorporates two outer shell sizes to span all head sizes. XS to L share a shell, while XL to 3XL a larger shell. Faceshield size varies by shell size and do not interchange.

Schuberth helmets fit me perfectly. However, as with all helmets, you’ll need to try it on yourself as the self-described intermediate-oval shape will not be perfect for all heads. Ultimate Motorcycling strongly recommends getting your helmet professionally fitted.

Schuberth offers their collar-mounted SRC-System that integrates with the antenna that is built into the S2 Sport. The SRC-System offers a link to your Bluetooth communication devices.

The new Schuberth S2 Sport is a motorcycle helmet that should satisfy the needs of the most demanding riders with features and functions to suit all styles of road riding.
