2016 Suzuki GSX-R1000 Buyer's Guide | Specs & Price

It didn’t do to well in World Superbike in 2015, but the Suzuki GSX-R1000 remains a top-flight street-going superbike. Using lessons learned in its new MotoGP effort, the GSX-R1000’s motor has drive modes, iridium spark plugs, MotoGP-derived cam profiles, and the forged pistons and combustion chamber that create a wide powerband.

Showa suspension is excellent, and this year the GSX-R1000 has MotoGP livery, as well as a Commemorative Edition that recalls either the original 1985 GSX-R750 (blue/white) or the 1980s Suzuka 8 Hour racers (red/black).
