2013 Ducati Mutlistrada Video
Last week, Ducati released the first bits of info on its 2013 Ducati Multistrada 1200, which is featured in the promo video above.
The Multistrada 1200 remained relatively unchanged since its introduction in 2010, but receives some major revisions for 2013. Ducati also introduces an all-new model in 2013 – the Multistrada 1200 S Granturismo.
All models receive a second generation Testastretta 11° engine, enhanced aesthetics, the latest generation ABS, and on “S” versions, Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS). This DSS is the first in Ducati’s history that will allow “semi-active” electronic suspension adjustments without rider input, a technology similar to what BMW just released on its HP4.
For 2013, the Multistrada 1200 will be featured in the standard version, the S Touring (additional side luggage, heated grips and a center stand as standard equipment), the S Granturismo (increased side luggage capacity, a top case, additional LED illumination, enhanced wind protection and long-distance tires) and the S Pikes Peak, which dons Ducati Corse colors.
The 2013 Ducati Multistrada 1200 will unveiled to the pubic at the INTERMOT motorcycle show in Cologne, Germany, Oct. 3-7. Ducati says the 2013 Multistrada 1200 models will be available at dealers in December 2012. For additional details, click here.
