2011 Sturgis: Poison to Play Buffalo Chip

As the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally nears, the music lineup at the legendary Buffalo Chip Campground continues to grow.

The latest addition to the roster is the iconic 80s hair band Poison, which features lead-singer Bret Michaels, the star of VH1’s “Rock of Love with Bret Michaels.”

Poison will perform at the 30th Annual show at the Buffalo Chip on Tuesday, Aug. 9. The Band, which consists of Michaels, C.C. Deville (Guitar), Bobby Dall (Bass) and Ricki Rockett (Drums), is celebrating their 25th anniversary in 2011, touring with another legendary band Motley Crue.

The band has sold more than 31 million records, with notable songs like “I want Action,” Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” “Ride The Wind,” “Something To Believe In,” Unskinny Bop,” “Fallen Angel,” “Talk Dirty To Me,” and “Nothin’ But A Good Time.”

Poison will be joining the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally festivities with such big-name acts that include Alice Cooper, Toby Keith, Def Leppard, Styx, Lynyrd Skynyrd, George Thorogood, Leon Russell and Bachman & Turner.
