Ryan Villopoto entered the 2011 AMA Supercross racing season ready to take on the entire field with his Monster Energy Kawasaki KX450F.
After winning Anaheim 1 (Angles Stadium), taking a second in Phoenix, and winning in Los Angeles (Dodger Stadium) Villopoto hold a five point lead in the Supercross championship.
At the inaugural Dodger Stadium Supercross, Ryan Villopoto took the lead on lap 11 after James Stewart crashed his motorcycle. The hard-charging Kawasaki rider, aka RV2, went on to win round three of the 2011 SX season that also saw the return of SX racing to Los Angeles.
"It was really slippery out there tonight," says Villopoto. "The start of my race didn’t go as planned, but I was able to make up some time early on and things went my way."
