The girls are back on action and for the fourth year running the FIM Women’s Motocross World Championship season started at the Sevlievo track in Bulgaria. This year though all the practice and racing was held on Saturday with 2010’s World Champion Stephanie Laier replicating what she did a year ago and taking the overall win.
It’s all systems go for the first round of the FIM Women’s Motocross World Championship this weekend in Sevlievo.
During the past years the Bulgarian round has been the stage for several battles between the Laier & Lancelot duo although this year’s Championship brings a guaranteed change of cast.
MX World Championship
In 2010 the Red Bull Factory Racing team gave KTM their best ever MX World Championship season with titles in MX1, MX2 and WMX.
That looks like a hard act to follow but all indications are that this team of top talented riders is "Ready to Race" and read to deliver a stunning line-up of results in 2011.
When Steffi Laier, Red Bull Teka KTM factory rider and two-time WMX World Champion, takes to the track in the pre-season MX races in Valence, France, this weekend it will be her first competitive ride for 2011.
Steffi has been training hard on the bike since mid December and in Valence tests herself against a field of male riders.
